Richard’s initial career was with London Transport. In 1987 he led the recovery of 30 bus garages following the London Hurricane, and was immediately made Disaster Recovery Manager. He was also responsible for LBL’s Recovery bus. Subsequently, he opened London’s only third Business Recovery Centre, before joining CAP-Recovery Services (later Sema Group Recovery Services) as the Head of Professional Services. In a lead consultant role, he participated in the build out of Recovery Centres across Europe, Asia and into America.
For the last twenty years Richard has been working within two major wholesale banks, BNP Paribas and J.P.Morgan. He is a Member of the BCI and a founder member, and former Co-Chair, of SIBCMG, the organisation representing the business continuity interests of the major UK wholesale institutions.
